Monday, January 28th will be rotation day 1.
Due to last week’s
craziness (cancellations, delays, Fun Run, and internet outages) we will be
continuing our mammal’s project through this week. Fingers crossed that we can
get the project done this week! Remember, this has been an in-class
project. Students will NOT have to do
any work outside of the classroom.
Students have been
working in small groups to research their chosen animal. After reading information about their animal
they took notes on a graphic organizer. Students
are currently working on taking these notes and turning them into a Google
Slides presentation. These presentations
will then be presented to the rest of the class. We will hopefully be able to start the
presentations on Tuesday and they will continue through the remainder of the
week.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Thank you for your AMAZING
support of our classroom during the Boosterthon this year! Totals are stilling coming in, but our class
is up to $32 per lap raised! Not only
have you and your friends and family helped our class pay for field trips but
we have also earned 30 minutes extra recess for a day!!
A new book order should be coming home next week for
February.
Please remember to look at the important dates (to the right) for other
important happenings in January.
Remember if there is a snow day, we do not skip that day’s
rotation day. We will continue with the
rotation when we return to school. For
example: If Monday should be day 9 but
there is a snow day, then Tuesday will be day 9.
Please take the time to wash your child’s belongings to help
eliminate germs from school. Remind your
child about the importance of washing their hands often.
Valentine’s Day parties will be held on February 14 from 1:30-3:00. A letter has come home with your child’s
Friday Folder concerning a Valentine’s Day Gram fundraiser for PBIS. (This is the group that is responsible for helping
our students become well rounded, caring people. )
Report cards will come home on Tuesday.
