Week of Feb. 18

School will be in session on Monday Feb. 11th as a snow make-up day.  Monday, February 11th will be rotation day 10.

This week we will finish our discussion of Lesson 9.  Lesson 9 discusses different types of populations areas, such as rural, suburban, and urban.  Students had a quiz last week on these terms.  Please look for the quiz in their Friday Folders.  This week we will look at the four largest urban areas in PA.

Remember if there is a snow day, we do not skip that day’s rotation day.  We will continue with the rotation when we return to school.  For example:  Friday was day 8, Monday should be day 9 but there is a snow day.  Therefore, Tuesday will be day 9.

During the snow days, please take the time to wash your child’s belongings to help eliminate germs from school.  Remind your child about the importance of washing their hands often.

A BIG shout out to all the volunteers who made our Valentine’s Day party so awesome!!  Thank you again for all of your hard work!

If you would like to order from February’s Scholastic book order, please send in your check (made out to Scholastic Book Order) or order online by February 22nd.

Please help our school and our classroom with our PTA Basket Raffle.  Our class theme is “Hot Drinks.”  We would greatly appreciate any and all donations to help our class basket be the best in the school!  An ideas list went home in your child’s Friday Folder.  If you have any questions, please let me know!!

A paper about “Quotes for Good Communities” from State Farm was also in Friday Folders.  Please take a few minutes out of your day to call State Farm and help our school.

Please remember to look at the important dates (to the right) for other important happenings in February.
