Monday, January 21st there will be no school due to the
extreme cold weather.
Tuesday, January 22nd will be rotation day 9.
This week we will
be finishing our mammal projects. This has
been an in-class project. Students will
NOT have to do any work outside of the classroom.
Students have been
working in small groups to research their chosen animal. After reading information about their animal
they took notes on a graphic organizer. Students
are currently working on taking these notes and turning them into a Google
Slides presentation. These presentations
will then be presented to the rest of the class. We will hopefully be able to start the
presentations on Wednesday and they will continue through the remainder of the
week.
North Schuylkill Elementary is very excited to host the
Boosterthon Fun Run again this year!! Please
continue to check back on my blog for daily updates. Please continue to collect donations
throughout this week. Donations go
towards funding our field trips and end of the year field day. This one-time donation event eliminates the
need for multiple fundraisers being sent home throughout the school year.
If you would like to order from January’s Scholastic book order,
please send in your check (made out to Scholastic Book Order) or order online
by January 25th.
Please remember to look at the important dates (to the right) for other
important happenings in January.
Remember if there is a snow day, we do not skip that day’s rotation
day. We will continue with the rotation
when we return to school. For
example: Friday was day 8, Monday should
be day 9 but there is a snow day.
Therefore, Tuesday will be day 9.
Please take the time to wash your child’s belongings to help eliminate
germs from school. Remind your child
about the importance of washing their hands often.
