Week of November 5th

Monday, November 5th will be rotation day 9.  

This week in Social Studies we will be finishing up our Theme Park projects.  The students have really enjoyed making their theme parks!  We have expanded the project and are doing a cross-curricular writing activity.  Students have been very creative with their projects.  I am very pleased with how hard they are working!  On Tuesday I am hoping to have the projects done so that we can move on to learning our Pennsylvania state symbols. We will learn and practice the state symbols throughout the week.  We will have a quiz on the symbols on Friday. 

Thank you to all those that have contributed party money to the classroom!!  Some of this money was put to use for the Halloween party.  Each student received an ice-cream sandwich and an Orange Drink during the party.  If you have not donated money, it is not too late.  We will use some of the money again for Christmas and Valentine’s day.  Please send in party money with your child if you have not already done so.  Thank you! 

November book orders came home on Friday Nov. 3nd.  Please have all orders submitted online or sent in with your child (*checks made out to Scholastic) by Friday Nov. 30th. 

The first marking period has ended.  Report Cards will be coming home on Friday, Nov. 9^th.   You may keep the report card.  Please sign and return the yellow envelope. 

Please remember to look at the important dates (to the right) for important happenings in November.  *Shorts are no longer allowed.  They will be allowed again when Daylight Savings begins in the spring.
